W.S.F. (World Snowboard Federation) – World Rookie Fest, March 2005 (Europe and Asia)
The World Snowboard Federation still work on his international project dedicated to rookies. After the first WRF at Kongsberg (Norway) in 2004, the tour grow up with 2 events for 2005: an Asian edition in Japan and a European one in Italy: Both winners got a ticket for the Rookie Session at the Arctic Challenge (Norway).
WRF – Japan – Rookie Festival Asian Game in Myoko Pine Valley Niigata
Selected young rider from JSBA ranking and top 20 riders show up. It was good contest and young rider was enjoyed with party too. Here is the winner: Junpei Fujishima (1986) who got a free trip to TAC 2005.
WRF – Italy – Snowboard League Finals
The first event in Livigno was cancelled due to super bad weather condition ad post poned the 19 march in Abetone (Tuscany). The event was great, with night finals and big party. Manuel Pietropli (1990) won the WRF, getting a free ticket to The Arctic Challenge 2005.
WSF Rookies enter The Arctic Challenge (Norway)
Both Rookie were at The Arctic Challenge last week with other 2 invited rookies: Ruiki Masuda (Jap) and Julian Karlsen (Nor). They joined the most esclusive international snowboard event. Both obtained good results, had fun jammin with the most influent pro of the snowboard world like Terje Haakonsen, Danny Kass, Autti Antti, Markus Keller, Keir Dillon, Stefan Gimpl, Mathieu Crepel, Andy Finch and many more. A uinque experience that bring them into the world of professional snowboarding: press conference, photo, video, party, interview, fans asking for autographs and live concert! They got great time at TAC.
